Advanced Dry Eye Clinic

A structured, clinically-led approach to treating the root cause of dry eye

Dry eye is not just a lack of tears.
It is a complex condition involving tear film instability, inflammation, and dysfunction of the meibomian glands.

At The Eyesmith, we offer a step-by-step treatment pathway designed to:

  • Improve tear film stability

  • Restore gland function

  • Reduce irritation and visual fluctuation

  • Deliver long-term relief—not just temporary symptom control

Your Treatment Journey

1. Advanced Dry Eye Assessment — £250

Your journey begins with a detailed clinical assessment to understand why your eyes are dry.

This includes:

  • Detailed symptom analysis

  • Slit lamp examination

  • Meibomian gland imaging (meibography)

  • Tear film and lipid layer assessment

  • Inflammatory and tear quality biomarkers

This is an onsite laboratory assesment of Inflammation and Allergy proteins in tear sample

  • Identification of your dry eye subtype:

    • Evaporative (MGD)

    • Aqueous deficient

    • Mixed

Outcome:

You will receive a personalised treatment plan, tailored to the underlying cause of your condition.

2. Personalised Treatment Programmes

Following your assessment, we recommend one of the following structured programmes.

These are designed as complete treatment pathways, combining advanced technologies to restore ocular surface health.
