The Dry Eye Clinic

A structured, clinically-led approach to treating the root cause of dry eye

Dry eye is a complex condition involving tear film instability, inflammation, and dysfunction of the meibomian glands.

Our step-by-step treatment pathway is designed to:

  • Improve tear film stability

  • Restore gland function

  • Reduce irritation and discomfort

  • Deliver long-term relief

Your Treatment Journey

A comprehensive, medical-grade assessment to understand the true cause of your dry eye.

Includes:

  • Detailed symptom analysis

  • Slit lamp examination

  • Meibomian gland imaging / meibography

  • Tear film and lipid layer assessment

  • Inflammatory and tear quality biomarkers

  • Identification of your dry eye subtype:

Excluding Lab Biomarkers — £150

What are Biomarkers and why do they matter?

We don’t just assess symptoms — we measure what’s driving them.

Inflammation

  • Causes redness, irritation, and gland damage

  • Targeted using IPL

Meibomian Gland Function

  • Determines oil quality in your tears

  • Restored using IPL + Expression + QMR

Tear Film Stability

  • Affects comfort and vision clarity

  • Improved through combined treatment

Ocular Surface Health

  • Indicates damage and healing capacity

  • Supported by QMR regeneration

Why this matters:
This allows us to deliver targeted, personalised treatment with measurable results.

Treatment Timeline

How Our Treatments Work

IPL — Intense Pulsed Light

  • Reduces inflammation around the eyelids

  • Targets abnormal blood vessels

  • Improves the environment of the meibomian glands

Meibomian Gland Expression

  • Performed immediately after IPL

  • Clears blocked glands

  • Restores natural oil flow into the tear film

  • Enhances the effectiveness of IPL

QMR — Quantum Molecular Resonance

  • Stimulates cellular repair and regeneration

  • Improves gland activity and oil quality

  • Supports long-term restoration of tear function

Why this combination is more effective

  • IPL reduces inflammation

  • Expression clears obstruction

  • QMR restores function

Together, this provides a complete treatment pathway — not just temporary relief.

Flexible Payment Option

The cost of treatment can be spread over 4–5 monthly direct debit payments of £300.

Punctal Plugs

For patients whose dry eyes are due to low tear volume or excessive drainage, we may recommend punctal plugs.
These tiny, biocompatible plugs are inserted into the tear ducts to retain natural tears for longer, improving comfort and hydration.

The procedure is quick, painless, and reversible if needed.
